Do you know what a gold nugget in Affiliate marketing is? A program that allows only a limited amount of marketers in. Doesn’t matter if they are ‘invitation only’ or just unknown, finding an affiliate program that is not everybody promoting (web hosting affiliates anybody?) is like finding a gold nugget in the make money online universe. For a long time the Market Samurai Affiliate Program was such a gold nugget for me ;-( Now they opened up to everybody, ok, they will open up on Monday 
What brings me to the next best thing, being an early bird! Being an early bird in affiliate marketing is nearly as good as finding a gold nugget. Take Market Samurai for example, the ones that join now and start to promote it now – not some day in a future that never comes, will gain good places in the SERPentines for search terms like “Market Samurai Review” and similar. And good rankings in the SERPentines means good, old-fashioned buying traffic of people that are actually looking to buy what you are promoting. So, as I will loose my gold nugget on Monday, I will do everything (ok, nearly everything) to convert it in an early bird that catches many, many wormes for me Here some of my personal tips on how to make good money from affiliate products:
- Promote what you know and can stand behind
Should be a no-brainer, but still, a lot of people try to promote products they have never used, don’t know nothing about and that they are not really interested in. That shows in your sales commission, believe me! Promote what you are convinced off and you will convince others to buy it. Promote what you don’t care about and nobody cares to buy it.
Do it NOW
There is always an excuse available for not seizing an opportunity. But ’some day’ translates in ‘too late’ when it comes to affiliate marketing. ‘Some day I will start an adwords campaign for this products’ means de facto, you will never start one ;-( And never sell the product in question!
To sum this up: To have success in affiliate marketing you have to promote products and services you are truly passionate about AND you have to do it now – not ’some day’, because that would mean – never!
