The Internet is a rare gold mine. In a few weeks of training, you can learn how to turn hundreds into thousands and thousands into millions. I’m not kidding. The ability to make money in such a lucrative market is a historical anomoly. You can make money online without ever breaking a sweat — and a lot of money.
The lucrative and easy nature of the Internet is certainly why I picked the Internet as the general market to make money. On this page, I’ll list some of the more relatively easy ways to make money online, organized by order of potential income, with the highest coming first.
Note that the only way I will promise you’ll earn money on is the first way to make money online… making your own website. The other choices are risky. I focus 100% of my “make money online” time on building websites because it’s the most certain way to build an online income. It’s also the slowest way. Consider all of the information, and make your decision accordingly.
1. Make Your Own Website
Making a website on the Internet is like having a huge store next to a busy highway. If you just make it look presentable, and find a great way to make money from people who stop by, you’ll have an incredible income.
The entire process of making money online with your own website looks like this:
- Build. Build your website. Think of a topic, pick a domain name, get a host, set up the website.
- Content. Get content for your website. This almost always means long-articles. Anywhere from 20-50 articles are ideal for your website.
- Traffic. Find a way to get people to visit your website. Social networks, search engines, word of mouth — all of these are great methods for getting traffic. Traffic is the blood of your website.
- Money. Find a way to turn visitors into money. Advertisements, selling products, marketing someone else’s products — find a way to make money.
I’ll be focusing a lot of this website on teaching you how to make money online with your own website, mostly because it’s the easiest and most lucrative way to make money that I know of. Subscribe below to get updates as I add them to the website.
2. Market Someone’s Product
Marketing someone else’s product online is usually called “affiliate marketing.” The way it works is relatively simple:
- Sign Up. Find an “affiliate program” to sign up for. Basically, find a product to peddle to others. It can be a book, a course, or actual things like cars, houses or tables. The sky is the limit here… there are affiliate programs for almost everything.
- Get Your Link. Once you sign up for a program, the program will give you a special URL or link to hand out. This is your special link — no one else will have this link. If someone clicks on your link and ends up buying anything, the affiliate program automatically figures out that you are the one who deserves a sales commission for anything sold. You’re effectually an online salesperson.
- Market Your Link. Market your link by advertising it on a blog, via advertisements like AdWords, building your own website, putting the link out on your email newsletter, or some other method.
3. Work From Home Jobs
The above to general ways to make money are from an entrepreneur’s perspective, at least on some level. They’re based on you coming up with your own model of success and then working for yourself to achieve that success. Of course, that’s not the only way to make money online.
You can also make money online with a work from home job. A work from home job will afford you with a lot of the freedom of owning your own business, while still keeping your risks at a minimum.
- Freelance Writing. Regardless of how well you can actually write, you can make at least a part-time income right now as a writer. If you’re not a great writer, you can still make $10-15 per hour by writing larger quantities of content.
- Cheap Projects. There are other ways to make money online, like Project Payday or Send Earnings. These two methods are extremely hard to ever achieve full-time income with, though I’ve heard from those who have.
- Work Remotely. At risk of sounding obvious, perhaps the most readily available work-from-home job is one which allows you to simply work remotely. A regular job — only you just need to have computer access, so no “real office” time is necessary. Think: personal assistant, telamarketing, etc.
What to Do
Of course, I’m a biggest fan of the “build a website” route of making money online. Building a website is extremely cheap, continually getting easier, and is extremely lucrative. But if it’s not your type of endeavor, you can market someone else’s product without a website, or find a work from home job.
Regardless, don’t get up or turn your computer off until you actually make one concrete step toward making money online. That’s really half the battle, especially since I’ll guide you through every single step you’ll need to take to find success.
